Police Interactions | Next RP Docs

Police interactions are some of the most common and important roleplay scenarios on the server. Whether you are a civilian, criminal, or officer, these standards ensure fair and immersive outcomes.

Compliance & Arrest

When placed under arrest by police using proper procedure, comply. Resisting arrest is a roleplay choice with consequences — not a rule violation — but must be done with good RP justification.

Police officers are players too. Treat them with the same respect you expect for your own roleplay. Screaming "this is fail RP" over voice is an OOC complaint — handle it in Discord after the scene.

Traffic Stops

Pull over immediately when police signal you. You may attempt to flee if your character has reasonable motivation, but must do so in a way that makes RP sense. Immediately driving off without interaction is poor RP.

Rights & Processing

Officers should follow standard arrest and processing procedures. Prisoners are entitled to legal representation — ask for a lawyer if one is available. The in-game justice system allows for proper charges, sentencing, and legal appeals.

Evidence & Court

Next RP has a functioning court system. Evidence collected during crimes can be presented in court. If you believe you were wrongfully charged, a lawyer can represent you or you can represent yourself.
