Reporting a Violation | Next RP Docs

If you witness a rule violation in-game or on Discord, please report it through the appropriate channel. Do not attempt to handle the situation yourself — this often escalates issues and may result in you receiving a warning as well.

Don't Take Matters Into Your Own Hands

Retaliating against a rule-breaker, calling them out publicly, or escalating the situation is not permitted. Use the reporting system and let staff handle it.

In-Game Reports

For active situations that require immediate staff attention, use the in-game report command or create a staff ticket in Discord.

Use /report In-Game

Type /report [player-id] [reason] to flag a player to online staff. Include as much detail as possible. Online staff will review the report as quickly as they can.

Discord Ticket

If no staff are online, open a ticket in our Discord server. Navigate to the #open-a-ticketchannel and select "Report a Player". A staff member will follow up within 24 hours.

Collecting Evidence

Reports are significantly more likely to result in action when supported by evidence. We recommend all players keep a recording software running while in-server.

Video Evidence

Video is the strongest form of evidence. Use software like Medal, Shadowplay, or Xbox Game Bar to record your gameplay. Upload clips to YouTube, Streamable, or Medal and include the link in your report.

Screenshots

Screenshots are useful for Discord violations (harassment, spam, etc.). Include the full context of the conversation, not just a single message.

Server Logs

Staff have access to server logs for certain violations. You don't need to provide logs yourself, but providing timestamps helps staff search them efficiently.

False Reports

False Reporting is a Violation

Submitting false or malicious reports to get another player in trouble is a violation of our rules and will result in punishment for the reporting party.

Reporting Staff

If you believe a staff member has acted improperly, you can report them to senior staff via a Discord ticket — select "Staff Complaint" as the ticket type. All staff complaints are reviewed by the management team.
